Take out loan for ASB

admin August 5th, 2008

Afiq and I have decided to take out loan as our savings in ASB - following the advices from both Ayah and Mama. We applied for a loan from Maybank.

Wanna know how this works?

Firstly, to make this method works, you have to have upfront money that can be used as your “modal”. Let say if you plan to take out a RM20k loan for 10 years, make sure you have the monthly installments (RM217/month) for one whole year ready, which is about RM2604.

Let me show you how this is profitable:

Now, the average deviden that you will get from ASB is about 8%, which is about RM1600/year.

For the first year, you will have to pay RM2604 out of your own money.

Then, you will only use the dividen (RM1600) to pay the loan plus your own RM1004 (RM83.68/month)

2 more days~

admin July 30th, 2008

Only 2 more days left until I finish my internship. I learnt a lot - I coded in ASP.NET and VB.NET! I’ve never ever program in these 2 languages before, so, I think it’s a huge jump in just 2 months. I feel really happy =)

Anyway, there’s a fox living in my house!! Well, not really IN my house but it’s in my house compound - only at night. I just saw it 2 days ago. It’s very very very long. I have a good mind that it might even be about 1 metre long from its head to the end of its tail. I saw it at night climbing the gates all the way from the end of the block until it reaches to my house and happily go up my mango tree. Probably it’s having a feast up there. It is soooo big. No wonder my cats didn’t bother to track him down - they’re probably afraid of it!

Well, I was number 17 at Malaysia Open in case anyone’s wondering =) I fenced against the Singaporean National Team, Qatar National Team and one girl from the Penang State Team. I was the 4th Malaysian in the ranking. Probably can go and register for the National Team now. Haha. =P

My sisters and I also participated in the Selangor Fencing League. I was number 5 and I could have done better. I didn’t really enjoy the day during the Selangor Fencing League because of various reasons which I prefer to keep to myself. I might make the Selangor State Fencing Team look bad if I post everything here lol. But I’m glad Aisya and Sara enjoyed themselves that day. I probably will never join anymore Selangor Fencing League - I will just accompany my sisters as their coach.

My laptop has a lot of problems right now - from being infected by a Trojan to power problem. I cannot even turn it on now =( Sad sad.

By the way, Afiq’s sister, Kak Noorazila will get married on August 8 and have their wedding on August 9 !!  On the same day, Faidz and Ibah from Rochester Institute of Technology will also get married. Congratulations to all of you! I’m so glad (and also jealous at the same time. haha).
