Final Exam Week Is Very Tiring
1 down, 2 more to go!
Sorry for the non-updates for a while, guys. I promise I’ll write some interesting entries once I am done with all these stuff.
Couldn’t wait to fly home! =)
Scored a $200 lens for $60!!
I have been spending a few days trying to find a telephoto lens for my XTi. I was comparing between Canon 70-300mm, Sigma 70-300mm and also Tamron 70-300mm. As I was going through the reviews, many people said that the Canon one would only be good with IS (it is also $300 more expensive), so I ended up with either Tamron or Sigma. Both of them produce good results, at least for me, as a new photographer.
Some of the reviews said Tamron was better and some of the reviews said Sigma was better. But most of the reviews said Tamron and Sigma are way better than Canon without the IS. However, after reading everything I could find on both of these lenses, I concluded that both are about the same quality. If I really want a very good quality, I should buy the Canon L series lens.

Shooting Trip Around Stevens Inst of Tech with Latifah
Yesterday night, we were supposed to study and finish up EE586 Project. However, due to lack of concentration and also the exciting feeling made by the XTi, we ended up going around Stevens to shoot mainly the panoramic views of New York City.
So, firstly, let me show you some of the pictures we took at America’s Cup (Library’s Cafe).
This is the picture of me with my laptop:

Latifah was so hungry last night, so, she bought a croissant and also a set of sushi! =) She really has the warm-hearted look of a lecturer. Well, she wants to be a lecturer - you little kids will be very lucky if you get her to be your lecturer you know. She’s so helpful, patient and kind-hearted. I’m serious!! Make sure you get Latifah as your lecturer. Her full name is Latifah Sarah Supian. (Ehem ehem, anyone interested can ask me for her cell phone number. Haha)

This is a picture of the sushi before Latifah ate it!
These are some of the NYC views but some of them kinda blurry because we did not have a tripod. Rest assured, I have just bought a tripod from Amazon just now!! After this we’ll try to get more beautiful pictures. I promise!!

My Canon Digital Rebel XTi has arrived! =) This is my biggest investment I ever make on a certain product. I hope I will be able to make the best out of this powerful digital camera.
These are the pictures I have taken using Canon Digital Elph SD600 to record one of the most important event in my life - unboxing the most expensive product I have ever bought:

And these are some of the first pictures I have taken using the Canon Digital Rebel XTi using Macro mode. I kinda fell in love with this mode. I’ll explore other modes as the time comes =)

What a busy busy world
What a busy busy world,
What else would you expect from a student world,
Unless you would love to hide under the bed, curled,
because you failed your classes,
in your busy little world.
You wish you could fly,
But you have no wings, You can’t be wild,
All the works keep piling up, you want to cry.

Ice Skating at Central Park
Afiq, Faizi, Afham, Latifah, Cindy and I went to Central Park yesterday for ice-skating. It was the best day ever!!!
After skating for over 3 hours, we went to Toys R Us in Times Square before going home (Hoboken). On the way to the Path Train at 33rd Street, we visited Victoria’s Secret and The Body Shop. I bought some gifts for Kak Fida’s wedding and also Kak Azila’s wedding and a bath oil for myself ^_^
