Volunteering at PAWS, Subang

Last Tuesday, Aisya, Sara and I went to PAWS to adopt some kittens. We also spent more than an hour there “volunteering” by playing and spending time with the cats. We also met several other volunteers that are more expert in handling the cats. There were many cats and dogs that need new homes.

We adopted Ichigo and Sakura (We named them ourselves, just in case if you are wondering). In the picture below, there are 3 kittens. However, we have to put back the tuxedo cat inside the cage since mama only wanted 2 kittens. So, we have to pick only two of them. So, the lucky kittens of the day were Ichigo and Sakura.

There are many cats and dogs that are available in PAWS to be relocated into loving homes. All of them are neutered in order to reduce the number of homeless cats and dogs. If you need to get a cat or a dog, please consider visiting PAWS to adopt one instead of buying from the Pet Shop.

PAWS Pilmoor Estate
Subang Airport Road 47200
Subang

You can visit their website at here.

From outside, PAWS look like an illegal housing (or more widely known as ‘rumah setinggan’). It was very bad in shape if you look from outside. However, once you enter the area, you will see that the people at PAWS do their best to keep the center clean. The center is not so big and is only able to house less than 60 cats and probably less than 40 dogs. All the animals at the shelter are neutered to avoid more homeless animals. If the number of cats and dogs are over the capacity, they will be put to ’sleep’.

Therefore, please be kind to the animals. If you have a pet, please make sure that you neuter them if you cannot promise yourself that you can keep and feed their young. Stop animals killing and let all the animals have a place that they can call a home. Also, please discourage the pet shops from breeding the animals by going to the adoption center to get a pet.

PAWS is like the SPCA something right?

Cute cats…… =p

its really great if we can save that animals by being volunteer in PAWS.
BTW the cats are really cute

yups, the paws is a non-profit organization like the spca, except i think spca is more like a governmental organization (not sure..don’t take my word for it..). hehe.. they are cute right? =) Ichigo is putting so much weight. i think he weighs double than when we first carry him in the paws cage. wonderful eh =)

It is always good to do volunteer work. Thumb up to u :)

Thanks!! =)

Well done you! You are obviously very kind hearted - I cannot stand violence towards animals, especially cats!!
