Day 2 - Ontario & Toronto, Canada …. and congratulations Aisya!!!

Before going into further details regarding my journey to Canada, I would like to congratulate my dearest little sister, Aisya, for getting scholarship to United States!!! Yeay!!! Congratulations Aisya!!! I know you will get it ^_^

Ok, back to my journey to Canada. I couldn’t add any image for now because the Wi-Fi here is soooooooooooooo slow. I’ll add the pictures later =) (Update: May 8, I added some pictures!) This morning, we (Latifah and I) woke up and ate breakfast before going to our way to board the Maid of the Mist. Look at our morning pictures! We were so excited!!

The Maid of the Mist went very near to the Niagara Falls that the water splashed here and there - it was spectacular~!

And then, we walked around the Niagara Falls and ate our lunch at Niagara Falls Secret Garden where they have very beautiful tulips blooming. Pink, red, purple - the colors are very beautiful! After the lunch, we went to watch IMAX Movie Theater about the history and legend of the Niagara Falls. I actually slept for 90% of the movie - only Latifah watches the whole story. It had a miracle at the end.

After IMAX, we left Ontario for Toronto, which took about 2.5 hours. Toronto is the biggest city in Canada where almost all the businesses are located. At first look, Toronto looks like KL with all the flyover. However, it is more condensed - almost as condensed as New York. In Toronto, we first went to the City Hall, then to Toronto University, then to CN Tower (Canada National Tower) which has a very nice view of Toronto. However, we didn’t enjoy much because it was raining by the time we reached CN Tower. The special feature of this tower is the glass floor, where you can see right through just beneath your shoes!! It was scary at first but it was fun taking pictures =) At the tower, we saw some other Malaysian students but they are boys and 1 girl - so, we didn’t talk to them. It’s weird if 2 girls suddenly approach a whole group of 5 boys and 1 girl. After CN Tower, we went to Toronto Parliament’s Building and took some pictures. We stopped only for about 10 minutes due to rain.

After the Parliament’s Building, we went to Toronto’s Chinatown. It was not as busy as New York’s Chinatown, probably because of the rain. However, the food was very nice. We ate at a Chinese restaurant along with all the rest of the tourists that join our tour. We ate like Chinese culture with the bowl, soup, chopsticks (I used spoon and fork, though) and chatted with all the rest. We were treated like their daughters since most of them are already old - probably can be called as grandpa & grandma. They are so kind =) We made a lot of friends and got a lot of experiences from this tour. We love it!

After eating, we went to buy some bubble tea at a shop just across the road from the Chinese Restaurant. They were delicious!!

After a visit to the Chinatown, we came to this hotel, Radisson Hotel. Tomorrow, we will be leaving at 6 o’clock in the morning to go to Thousands Island. Gotta get some sleep now =)
