Scored a $200 lens for $60!!
I have been spending a few days trying to find a telephoto lens for my XTi. I was comparing between Canon 70-300mm, Sigma 70-300mm and also Tamron 70-300mm. As I was going through the reviews, many people said that the Canon one would only be good with IS (it is also $300 more expensive), so I ended up with either Tamron or Sigma. Both of them produce good results, at least for me, as a new photographer.
Some of the reviews said Tamron was better and some of the reviews said Sigma was better. But most of the reviews said Tamron and Sigma are way better than Canon without the IS. However, after reading everything I could find on both of these lenses, I concluded that both are about the same quality. If I really want a very good quality, I should buy the Canon L series lens.
In the beginning, I was more towards Tamron, since it is cheaper at Amazon than Sigma. However, I made up my mind to buy anyone with cheaper price. And guess what? I scored one Sigma Lens at Ebay for $60 shipped! And it is new too! Look at the picture:
Wow, I would like to thank the seller so much for letting me buy the lens at 1/3 of its ongoing price (or 1/2). I’ve been seeing good pictures and results at Amazon’s customers’ images. I hope I would be able to take some great pictures too! =)
By the way, I got these clouds pictures today. Tim called and said the clouds looked beautiful and suggest me to take some pictures, so, I snapped some photos direct from my room! Thanks for the tips, Tim. =)
