My first medal ever!

We had NIWFA 2008 yesterday at Hunter College in Manhattan, New York. I won a few bouts before losing a series of bouts that really made me mad. However, after that, alhamdulillah, I regained my confidence and my desire that I won 4 bouts in a row. However, I was 1 bout short of being a finalist and ended up 7th in my pool.

I love the foil team!!
Alhamdulillah, Nat and Danielle had their best day ever (me too!) and the foil team managed to be 3rd among 14 schools! What makes it better, I didn’t even expect or target for this when we started fencing in the morning. We received medals! This is my first medal ever since I have only received trophies and certificates before. I was really happy after that ^_^
After seeing the pictures, I really am fat!!! argh!!!!!! I need to start my freaking diet plan!!! Anyway, enjoy the pictures!
