Some dream..

When I was little, I wanted to be the minister. Why? Coz I want to help poor people. I always feel sad when I see them lying around. Even my mother always call me “wakil rakyat” since whenever there is a call for donation, i would be the first one to go around the house searching of good items that we don’t use anymore. and i like to give money away to people (this is one thing that my mom would smack me. Hehehe).

But as i grow bigger, i don’t feel like being a minister anymore coz I feel that I would be restricted. So, my mission now is to become a businessman that build empire and use the profit to help the poor people and eliminate poverty. Just like Saidina Abu Bakar who used his wealth to contribute to the rise of Islam. By making companies, I would also help everyone by providing job opportunities and establishing good economic standings. All this thanks to my parents, especially my father whose dream is to become the main financial contributor and technology establisher for Islam and Malaysia.

Anyway, all of us could do something to help. Not many of us could contribute financially and most of us don’t have enough spare time to become volunteers. However, one thing that almost all of us could do is to rummage through our drawers and find some clothes that don’t fit us anymore but is still wearable and good looking. You can also donate bedsheets and pillow covers.

So, what to do after that? Firstly, wash all of them. Then, separate men and women’s clothes to make it easier for the orphanage or the homeless association. Then, pack them in a box and send in person or just post them to any of the charities that you know. However, if you don’t, here are some of the addresses:

    I also wanted to be a minister when i was a child. In fact! I want to be the Prime Minister of Malaysia! That happen right after my dad told me that Prime Minister can help a lot of people. But somehow that ambition was lost along the way that i travel until now. But i realized that to be the one that can help a lot people, i need to be the one that can overcome helping myself first. I realize that i’m way too difficult to control even myself. Huhuu~

    You got a really great dream KakLong, and i hope it will become true someday. And that’s a really great job to recommend of that kind of donation, many still don’t think of that include me :D
    I hope all of us can be like many of prophet’s companions. Be rich and use all money to Islam, not to our own stomach and desire only :)
