Slimming Craze

Okay, so, the latest news is I am currently undergoing a slimming craze. I’ve realized that I am overweight and I should address this problem as soon as possible before it becomes just purely impossible to treat it aside from having a lipo surgery (which I won’t be able to afford.Lol)

Besides, I will be one of the important fencers in Stevens next academic year (which is, this September). Having a lighter body will help me to move faster than ever - which is the most important factor to win. Agility.

Well, just an FYI, I am:

Height: 165cm
Weight: 74.84kg (165lbs)
BMI: 27.5

You can check your BMI here.

People whose BMI is over 25, are classified as overweight. So, I could safely say that I am significantly overweight. Waaa. Anyway, since you have known my weight, please
please do not make fun of me. I really hate it. Nobody likes being called fat, right? Huhu.

According to the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, the normal range of BMI is between 18.5 to 24.9. Therefore, I am targeting to diet and reduce my weight until I achieve BMI of 19.8, which is 54kg for my case. Thus, I have to reduce 20.84 kg (about 46lbs). So, my target is to get 119lbs.

I have already planned out my diet plan and I will update my progress here whether my plan is working or not.

To help build my discipline and to motivate myself, I have bought these medications to help me to reduce my weight:

1. Zantrex-3

Zantrex-3 is one of the diet pills that is hot among the Hollywood stars. I’ve read that to achieve higher results, they did combo pilling, which is to take Zantrex-3 and Relacore together. I plan to do this but instead of taking both at the same time, I plan to take a Zantrex-3 an hour before my lunch and an hour before my dinner while I will take Relacore PM, 1 hour before going to sleep. So, that means I will be taking 3 pills in a day, about 8 hours apart from each other.

2. Relacore PM

As stated above, Relacore is another medication that Hollywood stars take together with Zantrex-3 (they eat both at the same time while I plan to eat them at different times in a day). However, this combo pilling concept is not endorse by either Relacore or Zantrex-3. So, take it at your own risks.

3. University Medical BodyLift Weight Reducing Cream

I will be using this cream around my tummy, my double chin and my cheeks for 3 times a day - after taking shower. Hopefully it helps to reduce the fat there!

Besides taking these medications, I will be going to the gym everyday and also change my eating habit. Let’s talk about changing my eating habit.

I have always eaten rice for 2 times a day. I plan to reduce the portion of my food to half and add another meal into my daily diet. Let’s say if I eat 1500 calories per meal. That means I will eat about 3000 calories a day for two meals. When I halved my portion, I will eat only 750 calories per meal, 3 times a day. That is a total of 2250 calories a day. Besides lowering the intake of calories, I will also increase my metabolism rate since my stomach is assured that it will always get food. This will eventually turn off the “starving switch” which made the stomach prepared for starving by lowering metabolism rate and store fat for emergency use.

So, I plan to eat 3 times a day at 1pm, 4pm and 8pm. Since I am not a morning person, I won’t probably wake up early enough to have breakfast. I usually go direct to class when I woke up and the classes end at about 12pm, giving me enough time to cook between 12pm and 1pm.

Another change in my eating habit is that I will also stop eating 3 hours before bedtime. Since I always sleep at 12am or 1am, I will stop any food intake at 9pm. I will also reduce water intake so that I will have a good sleep by not waking up in the middle of the night for bathroom trips. I will also reduce eating chocolate, sweets and sugary drinks which always added up to a lot more my calories intake per day.

Besides changing my eating habits I will also work out for at least an hour everyday. I will be playing squash for half an hour and do weight lifting in the gym for the next half an hour. I hope I will be able to build muscles and also improve my metabolism rate.

I will update on my progress everyday. I will also include any side effects of those pills I am taking. Who knows, if I succeeded in this slimming craze, you can suggest the same plan to some others. However, if I failed, you know that the diet pills won’t really be much help. Stay tuned!

I am targeting to reduce 1 lbs per day, which is 7lbs a week. The picture above will be used as my “before” picture. I will post my “after” picture when the time comes. Pray for me! =)

haiya! forgot to ask you la.. I saw your ads on bidvertiser.. do you have to pay for that?

huhuh..interesting post..this tips dont apply only to women rite? definitely gonna folo dis myself huhuhuh..but not the medication thing..dun hav dat much money in me..harhar..coz obviously im not d one running d blog, wic prints out d money each n evry day..hahaha=)…dont forget to walk..i heard it burns a lot more calories efficiently campare to jogging or running (correct me if im wrong)..whatever it is, i wish u gudluck in ur diet progrm..huhu..chai-yok..chai-yok!!!…=p

yea, this tips apply to everybody. Hehe, don’t worry about the medications. It’s not that important. It just serves as a motivation for u. the most important thing is the eating habit and exercise. =)

Just as an addition, I’ve read a lot more articles online and found out that Relacore is actually a medication for stress. Stress induces some hormone (if i’m not mistaken, it’s cortisol) which make your tummy fatter. So, if you don’t think your tummy is fatter because of stress, don’t use it. =)

lol, don’t worry dani, i won’t be able to be that skinny lol XD

sayangku,
chaiyok2….
n it applies to everyone.
for awe,the main reason y it’s better to walk, perhaps because jogging etc. will buit a muscle in ur leg, thusd makes ur legs bigger.but it depends on the metabolism of people.however, before it builds muscle,it will lose some fats first.
try to do taebo, n drink lots of water and eat fibrs…
chaiyok :)

to be truthful, it doesnt seem that u have that kind of BMI. maybe cause u’re tall :) any how, after my a levels, i decided to lose weight since i wanted to start afresh in uni. so i got my mum to do all the training and planning for me.

what i did was go on the treadmill for 2-3 hours a day and stopped eating junk food. i started with no carbs for 2 weeks (only brown bread for breakfast, brown rice (if any) and absolutely no fruits!! just vegetables)

after the two weeks, i started on my healthy diet.. the first two weeks was horrible. mainly cause i only just started the whole vigorous exercise, and i had not enough glucose in my blood!!

anyhow, all in all i lost bout 7 kilos in 2 months. the third month of my holiday, my weight got stagnant and required even more exercise to lose more weight. but truthfully, the summer was a blessing for me cause i started uni real energized and fit. i also was able to buy clothes from the rack (even though still a size L/XL) and not complain how malaysian shops on ly stock for the ultra skinny

wow.. you must have been very discipline.. Maybe I’ll try your way. I’ve stopped taking all the diet pills coz they give me headaches.. thanks for sharing your experience =)

Well having seen your photograph you are certainly not fat! I am a healthy UK size 12, but my BMI is still over 24.9 - I could not physically lose anymore weight as I know that I would not be able to maintain it - and as I now live life to the full would not really want to put myself on a strict dieting regime - life is really too short!! Maybe we should consider that these BMI’s are inaccurate - who set them anyway???!!
